T - Rocket
overview
Neo 1 is a multistage, multi-student engineering initiative focused on developing a reusable, scaled rocket capable of demonstrating advanced launch and recovery techniques. The goal of the project is to prove that small model rockets can incorporate multiple stages, achieve stable ascent, and successfully execute controlled landings. By combining multidisciplinary student collaboration with iterative design, testing, and innovation, Neo 1 aims to bridge the gap between hobby-scale rocketry and modern aerospace principles, showcasing that even compact systems can achieve complex, reusable flight capabilities.
T - First
project
Our first engineering project focuses on designing a robust landing-leg system capable of stabilizing a rocket during touchdown on uneven or unpredictable terrain. The goal is to create a lightweight yet durable structure that can absorb impact forces, maintain balance on irregular surfaces, and ensure safe, repeatable landings. This project will combine structural analysis, materials engineering, and mechanical innovation to develop legs that adapt to real-world landing conditions while maintaining the rocket’s overall performance and reliability.

T - What is
NLS
Neo Launch Systems is a collaborative team of college students dedicated to advancing the future of rocketry through innovative, small-scale engineering. Together, we are developing a new generation of scaled rockets equipped with modern technologies, improved performance characteristics, and design principles that can translate directly into full-size aerospace systems. Our mission is to push beyond traditional model rocketry by designing, testing, and building high-quality, high-reliability vehicles that reflect the standards of the professional aerospace industry. We strive to engineer the best of the best—rockets that not only fly, but inspire, educate, and pave the way for the next era of student-driven aerospace innovation.
